MorningPrayer Saturday

Dear God,
    Help us all to follow the Way of Love and maintain Hope in a world prone to violence and extremist actions.  There is certainly more good than bad, more acceptance than harshness, more understanding that condemnation. May our prayers and our attitudes of love prevail and may the winds of the Holy Spirit of healing wellness for all flow through humanity, cleansing wounds and purifying hearts.  Hear our prayer, O God, as we move towards Christmas day, AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
