MorningPrayer Saturday

Image
Holiness,     Consider the complexity,  atoms, the strands of DNA, strings, quarks; things unseen that make things seen.  Consider a falling leaf in silent flight, exiting its home to live beyond itself. Consider humanity, colorful and busy, buzzing in the maze of underground roots and asteroids of ice and stone. Consider a time of silence, a deep pause of reflection where the ancient sounds of the universe beat in you chest. Consider God and be, AMEN

MorningPrayer Friday

Image
Dear God,       We are the sunlight pouring from the skies of the cosmic blast. We are filtered dust and frozen ice, hardened metals and molten lava. We are the flowers that flourish, the birds that laugh and the rains that sing. We are the bees caressing the earth and the grain that blows. We are the winds of the heavens and the voice of praise. We are the words of Jesus and the blood of the cosmic Christ. We are you and you are us and we are each other. We are the milk of our mothers, the breath of the elders and the chants of the ancients one. We are one, O Lord. AMEN

MorningPrayer Thursday

Image
Lord God,     The halo of color flows over us, igniting our thoughts and imaginations.          Brilliance! Splendor! Awe!     Saturated in light, we exclaim in amazement,           What wonder you have brought into being!     In beauty we walk, in harmony we walk, in peace we walk.           In you we walk. Thank you God. AMEN

MorningPrayer Wednesday

Image
Dear God,    The stones of space surround our life; polished orbs of silvan granite, speckled blue sky dotted with black holes,  roses blooming pink and white in frozen spirals, tiny eyes sparkling in the tears of time. We gather our community of people, events and things, much like the stones of time.  Such variety, texture and beauty. Thank you God for giving us diversity, each and every sound of silence unique in its own special way. The Kingdom is a treasure chest, AMEN

MorningPrayer Tuesday

Image
Dear God,     The gray skies have settled over us like a wet linen cloth.  We shield ourselves seeking comfort and warmth but we  need further assistance.  May we seek refuge under the shelter of your wing.  May your angels sing  harmony to our melody and beat the cadence of joy and peace. May the skies melt away and the heavens rejoice in their brilliance and love. In the warmth of your presence, we feel your compassion and know of your grace. In Jesus name, we pray. AMEN

MorningPrayer Sunday

Image
Dear God,       When we are tired and weary, let us rest ourselves in you. Not just sleep but rest in the nest of your love and the shelter of your wing. Let peace then flow over us like a gentle fall breeze and the warmth of your protection radiate into our bones and heal our heart. There is no tomorrow in this space, the time and place of wholeness is complete unto itself and we are healed and made well. In Jesus mercy and grace, let it be. AMEN

MorningPrayer Saturday

Image
Lord Jesus,     Our hands tingle in the flow of morning light, filtered by the prism of Holiness and spilling through our fingers in rainbows and dancing angels. There is no containing Glory and Awe.  We sit quietly in a circle of color, the palm of your hand holding us gently; we are safe through the day's light and into the darkness.  There is no beginning nor ending, you have captured both in the depth of your eyes, eternity is love-filled grace. AMEN

MorningPrayer Friday

Image
Dear God,    In the ever changing wardrobe  of life, we seek transformation of our spirit so we might soar to new heights.  Help us to shed our old cloak, it is worn and is a burden to us.  Place around us the shawl of prayer-- of infinite mercy and grace. Keep us warm in your loving spirit and breathe the new breath of eternity into our souls. May we then, go in peace, tranquility surround us and and flow through us. AMEN

MorningPrayer Thursday

Image
Gentle Loving God,   Hold us carefully and tenderly, for we are vulnerable. In your spirit hold us with brilliance and power, for we are strong, resilient and filled with instincts for life. We are being made in your image, and we find love expressing itself in grand and eloquent ways. If we are weak, it is because we are being cleansed and we are being healed so we might offer the gift of meaning to life. In all ways, we open ourselves to your compassionate touch and our tears and pain we give to you. AMEN

MorningPrayer Wednesday

Image
Holy Lord,     Sometimes our souls are weary and we need to be carried on the gentle currents of your grace. We need healing, God, the immersing touch of the Spirit that soothes, releasing pain.  We might even close our eyes to the light of day and drift quietly in the arms of your love. Embrace us in holiness and keep us safe, Lord.  We are yours. May our mission of being, be found in your presence and wisdom. AMEN

MorningPrayer Tuesday

Image
Dear God,         We need you. We lean on you when tragedy strikes and takes our breath from us.  We need you when we don't understand our world and the events that surround us.  We need your sacred spirit to hold us and we need Jesus to breathe for us. In your  embrace and without words we turn to you, God, for comfort and strength. Thank you God for loving family and friends who help us live through times of sorrow and pain. AMEN

MorningPrayer Monday

Image
Dear God,   Sometimes when life gets way from us, like a wild horse or a fast flowing river, we need to stop, pause, and be still. It is time to regroup in the moment and plant our feet and our seat and listen to the murmur and whispers of nothing. "Go slowly, drift quietly," whisper the falling leaves. In you, God, we observe the awe, wonder and mystery of an endless breath. In you, Jesus, we see the moment of infinity and the silent resurrection. AMEN

MorningPrayer Wednesday

Image
Holy Lord,     Caught in the rhythm of light dancing between the trees and melting in the falling leaves, we whisper your name in awe; "Holy Lord, God Almighty, maker of heaven and earth..." Be with us in blessing and promise as we slip into the day and are sifted by the earth.  Take us as we are, but perfect our potential into greater possibilities of rainbows and dancing flames of eternal worth. Joyously, we proclaim love and light, In Jesus name, AMEN

MorningPrayer Tuesday

Image
Holy Lord,     Cosmic energies of Holiness are raining down on us.  If we allow ourselves to be immersed in Christ's being, we will be saturated.  The promise of the ages will flow in us, spiritual grace that defies  gravity.  Let us be aloft and soar in the mystery of eternity, even as we live and breathe, gracefully , in the kingdom of our present fulfillment. Here and now, may we be light and love as servants to all. AMEN

MorningPrayer Monday

Image
Dear God,    The wind sighs like a flute through the withering leaves, reminding us of the spirit that flows in our lives.  Our feet softly walk the grasses filled with dew and we know the sparkle of your love and the fresh energy of your grace.  Remind us again of your presence in the crows flight and the owls hooting.  Ignite our inner flame that burns hotly in the joy and mystery of life.  AMEN and AMEN

MorningPrayer Sunday

Image
Creator God,    The deep hum of the universe is something we can hear if we quit our hectic pace; that bass note that under girds creation and brings life.  Help us to stop, this morning, and be very still and listen. Listen to the mystery unfold and the magic occur.  Help us to tune into that which is beyond us, greater than us, more profound than us. May we hear the connecting spirit that flows and sings and breathes of new life and eternity and infinity. Deep inside our mind and heart, may we explore distant horizons.  AMEN

MorningPrayer Friday

Image
Lord Almighty,   Stimulate our senses so we might be alive and know of the vibrancy of life.  Ignite our vision in the electric dance and fill our ears with cosmic winds.  Touch our hearts in the whisper of waves crashing across our skin and may we taste and smell  the salts of earth and sea. Alive may we be in the flow of grace coasting across our minds and the love purring like angels. AMEN

MorningPrayer Thursday

Image
Dear God,    Sometimes, even when we do everything right we still don't feel right. We might feel unfulfilled, not quite complete, a little unsteady.  Our stress meter is fluctuating or our contentment register needs calibrating. What do we lack, God?  Is it your Spirit of Holiness? Is it your steadying, comforting, merciful touch that soothes and guides? Perhaps, as you said, we need to be servants in the Kingdom; giving of ourselves in love and compassion. May we be filled in your eternal peace and light. AMEN

MorningPrayer Wednesday

Image
Dear God,    With gratitude for this day, we pause and give thanks.  For the routine that helps us to stay on the path, we are grateful.  For the unexpected events  that surprise and even amaze we are also grateful.  May we be creative in our response and faithful in our actions. God, you have taught us what we must do to be loving in the Kingdom. May we continue to grow in your spirit and in your health and be made complete and whole in your grace. AMEN

MorningPrayer Tuesday

Image
God,    I woke up thinking, "It is garbage day again!" Need to put out the trash and recyclables, again.  It feels like I just did that. And Lord, then I got to thinking about how lucky I was to have someone pick up my trash.  And then I got to thinking about how fortunate I was to have trash at all. And so then I got to thinking,  "Thank God, for garbage day!" AMEN

MorningPrayer Monday

Image
Dear God,      Sometimes we stare at the boxes in the attic of our mind and wonder what to do with all the stuff stored there. What do we keep, what is important, what can we discard now or later? We peek inside a box and good memories overtake us, or we are saddened and then try to forget, again.  We need clarity of mind and purpose to keep up with this storeroom.  Would you help us, God? Let us pause and contemplate and then with your assistance, be deliberate about fall cleaning. AMEN

MorningPrayer Sunday

Image
Dear God,    If we are to be overwhelmed, may it not be fear or chaos, but may it be awe and wonder and mystery. May we take off disappointments and frustrations like an old worn cloak and dropping it to the ground, put on the new garment of praise and joy. May we seek the sight that is of inner peace and eternal grace.  May we embrace new possibilities even as we are embraced in our fullest potential. In mercy and wholeness may we be. AMEN

MorningPrayer Saturday

Image
Dear God,    Sitting. Watching. Waiting.       Will it happen now, is now the time?         Will the bells chime, the angels appear,           the illumination of self, the grand realization, revelation of you...  Is it now?      Holding breath, not moving,         expectantly anticipating the event that transcends the moment.   Now, God, now. AMEN

MorningPrayer Friday

Image
Dear God,      How do we observe the trials and triumphs of life?             Should we do so with rituals of thanksgiving,            and observances of daily predictability.           Should we face the awe and splendor            with bowed head and folded hands.           Should we offer daily acts of giving and mercy.       May we simply be aware of that:             which we have been,              which we are,              what we might yet be.       Humbly, we pray. AMEN
