MorningPrayer Wednesday

Image
Dear God,     What wondrous day has floated in on the morning mist?  A day of possibility, perhaps,, slowly unveiling itself in the morning sun, vision being restored as if to a blind beggar. What potential are we realizing in ourself as we stretch the morning into opportunity?  New beginnings, perhaps, to discern in the clarity of the morning rising. Let us see ourselves hand in hand eye to eye shoulder to shoulder with your presence, O God, as we journey into this day. AMEN

MorningPrayer Tuesday

Holy God,  Did you whisper my name, or was it just the rooster in the distance.  Did you touch my arm or was it just the butterfly on the wind  Did you put that thought of forgiveness in my mind or was it just the dream from last night.  Did you lay that prayer of mercy on my heart or was it just the breakfast I ate. Remember; Be still and know that I am God.  Yes, you are everywhere. AMEN

Dear God,      Wake us this morning to the sounds of angels, our minds full of celestial sounds of beauty and our hearts swelling in the mystery of love.  May our spirits soar on the golden melody as the harmony of grace bring us to tears of joy. Can it be that you love us so much that our very souls are held by you in the perfect hands of knowing?  In this blessing, we feel the eyes of Jesus upon us. AMEN

MorningPrayer Tuesday

Image
Dear God,     Consider, us, your people. Flawed and full of holes we might be, but still filled with compassion and the desire to do right, create justice and make a difference in the world.  Help us in our desire.  Do not let our flaws stand in our way.  So, in spite of us, bring us into the wholeness and wellness of goodness and harmony and love for all. AMEN

MorningPrayer Monday

Image
Dear God,     If we be so fortunate as to have beauty around us, may we also have beauty inside us. As the rain washes the sky and nourishes the earth, may we be cleansed and nurtured. As the bird soars in the heavens above, may the Holy Spirit soar in us. As the earth gives of its gifts of life and sustenance, so may our gifts be life-giving. In all things, may we be the image of you, our Lord and God. AMEN

MorningPrayer Sunday

Dear Fellow Prayer,     I will be in Canada at Kahshe for the next week and will not be able to write our MorningPrayer,  I am sorry for this gap.  If, however, it is a meaningful morning exercise for you, I would suggest that you scroll back through the archives and perhaps, God will provide for you the exact prayer you need. Many Blessings, Keith Dear God,      We believe in your providence and your love.  Not only that, our life is made meaningful and significant because we live in the faith of your presence and your grace.  Lead us by the hand from starry nights into clear sky days.  Walk us on the pathway of justice and kindness and give us the vision of human needs and caring.      May we be informed in our faith by our mothers and fathers as we pray for the cries of mothers who can't care for their children because of their arrogance, ego and ignorance. We cry for the shame of the human race who is blinded by their pride and looses sight of love. May we simply and tru

MorningPrayer Saturday

Image
Dear God,     In the early morning mist, we see ourselves appearing like spiked trees and distant mountains. Unveiled we stand before you, our judge and redeemer. Our souls need purifying, O God, and our spirits need embracing. Clear away the fog in our minds and clarify our hearts in justice and mercy. Naked, and visible we stand in your garden, trusting in your love and grace. Forgivde us, Oh Lord and grant us eternal mercy. AMEN

MorningPrayer Friday

Image
Dear God, Be Still! Be still and know you, O God. Let us pause and in the silence, hear your voice, your whisper, your hushed presence. In the serenity of the silent trees, the pond without a ripple, the butterfly on the bush may we in complete stillness be. No movement, no sound, no activity. Let our breath be slow and even as we inhale and exhale. May we pause in the infinite and experience your eternity, O God. AMEN

MorningPrayer Thursday

Image
Dear God,      Soar us high so we might see the land as one people, one color, one faith, one race; humanity living in its one home of awesomeness.  Flow us on the breath of the  Holy Spirit free from division and conflict, one with you in your perfect image, so that we might be purified, clarified and made well to live in your world. Place us, then O God, in the Kingdom garden where we might be caretakers of your land and your people. AMEN

Dear God,     Renew, refresh, revitalize us in your spirit most Holy.     Recreate in us the aroma of fresh turned earth, filled with potential.     Rebirth us in your image of loving compassion.     Resurrect us in your eternal promise of delight and infinite joy.     AMEN

MorningPrayer Tuesday

Dear God,       Sometimes we need to make a decision whether we are going to be part of the new spring, growing in health, fiber and possibility or languish in the detritus of the forest.  Or perhaps, our time is not right and we need to ferment in the compost pile a bit longer.  What is our potential, O God and how do we know? We ask you for guidance and direction.  We pray that the Holy Spirit will show us the way into fresh light and air and awaken all our potential so that we can be breathless in the Kingdom of your love. AMEN

MorningPrayer Sunday

Image
Dear God,     We live in a world of contrasts; light and dark, smooth and rough, sour and sweet, good and bad... Sometimes we don't know what is the better way to be and know.  We get lost in the dimensions in-between and can't find our way out of the maze of choices. But, we do choose you, O God. We do choose the goodness of your image and long to be your reflection. Help us to see clearly in the mirror and know your way and truth. AMEN

MorningPrayer Wednesday

Image
Dear God,     If we follow the light through the darkness of stones and swamps, we will be with you.  No matter, the obstacles and the doubts, the stumblings and the fears, you will wrap the light of grace around our waists and lift us to freedom.  In you we see, have clarity and find our way.  From birth to death we trust in the light of your unfailing love and eternal being. For those of the Jesus way, we are shown the way the truth and the life. "I am the light..."

MorningPrayer Tuesday

Dear God,      Give us the patience to deal with those things we don't comprehend.  Give us new teachings to bolster our lack of knowledge. Give us the wisdom to put our knowledge to good use. Give us the understanding to accept those things beyond our comprehension. Give us love to fill the gaps in who we are and what we might become.  Give us forgiveness that heals our wounds when we fail. Allow us the grace of your being to live in your Kingdom for eternity. AMEN

MorningPrayer Monday

Image
Dear God,     What word does our spirit need today?   What gesture of wholeness and sensation of aliveness? What action should we take so that your image will be alive in our aching world?  When we look in the mirror or watch our hands of activity, do we see you and your compassionate loving ways?  We will be still and be open to your whisper, God.  We will do our very best to be in your image. AMEN
