MorningPrayer Tuesday

Dear God,
      Sometimes we need to make a decision whether we are going to be part of the new spring, growing in health, fiber and possibility or languish in the detritus of the forest.  Or perhaps, our time is not right and we need to ferment in the compost pile a bit longer.  What is our potential, O God and how do we know? We ask you for guidance and direction.  We pray that the Holy Spirit will show us the way into fresh light and air and awaken all our potential so that we can be breathless in the Kingdom of your love. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
