Dear God,

   In the rushing torrent of culture, sweeping us towards holidays that seem designed more for greed and want than family and faith; we need to stop.  Pause, once again in the  candle of belief and experience the wonder and mystery of life as a  gift and a treasure. Help us to be still and pause at the reflecting pond of harmony, balance and beauty. May we see your face, our God of love and joy. AMEN
