Dear God,
   I planned to send my prayer by UPS and then I thought maybe FED EX but maybe USPS would be better or maybe Brown is still around or is that UPS?
It is a really good prayer and wanted to make sure you got it as soon as possible, before it was too late, so that you would have plenty of time to unwrap it and work with the contents of the prayer... but I got really busy and then forgot and got lost on the way to the store and so here the prayer sits in my heart and on my lips.  I know it is late, but if I could just say it then maybe you will get it in time.  Dear God, thank you for all you have done for me, for the many blessings, and watch out for all my loved ones, and help to bring peace and joy on the earth. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
