Dear God,    See how fast we run; we leap through time and peer at the beginning of space. We jump into the cellular world and swim with atoms. Both near and far we explore emptiness and hold energy in our finite hands.  And yet we still face each other with spears and stones, muttering threats and jeers. We are prideful, arrogant creatures. God, it is baffling: how amazing we are and yet how far we must go, before we are more like you and your vision of us. Help us to be humble children of the stars. Don't give up on us. AMEN

Lord God,    In the most sacred of ways, allow us to bow our heads and be still in reverence and gratitude.  In this holy space, may we know our inner longing and may our emptiness be filled with the vastness of this universe of love. May our flesh and bones be infused with the Holy Spirit and our blood run as rivers saturated in eternal grace. Sacred trinity of life, lift us up and set us free. AMEN

Dear God,    If we listen with our ears and see with our eyes and focus with our heart, we know of the pleas of distress and need for many around us.  There are those who are healing from injury and disease.  There are those who are under treatment for ailments. There are those who are in emotional and mental distress. There are those who labor to eat and clothe themselves and to live in shelter. There are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.... May our prayers be like a sunshine filled sky and a refreshing breeze of the new spirit, flowing around, over and through all those in need.  AMEN

Dear God,    Sometimes our day begins softly and quietly, just the lonesome song of the flute drifting through the trees and the canyons of our mind. The rain adds a harmonic patter and we float through memories and dreams slowly finding our way. Be gentle with us, O God, for we sometimes need a cushion of softest fluff to recline on as we soar and sway. May we be supported on angel wings of symphonic breezes caressing our face. AMEN

Dear God,     May we find the patience to pause in the stress of delay. May we pause and pray through the frustrations of our day. May we perceive new things of simple wonder and enchantment. May we be prepared for whatever comes our way.  Hear our prayer, O God. AMEN

Dear Holy Lord,     Beneath the frozen sky we huddle in the warmth of the hearth.  We watch the sun fling horizontal shadows across the land, waking bird songs and surprising the cleaning, cat in the window. We wonder if you notice us, God?  Who are we that you are mindful of us? What pleas for mercy and songs of praise do you hear?  Are you indifferent to us, our needs, our loves, our efforts, our being? ...      ...and yet, we have endless hope and eternal spirit.  We have vision and insight to the inner core of meaning.  We are infused with loving hearts and see and create beauty.  We desire harmony and are creatures of deep compassion.      ...where else does this come from but from you.  Our beings are filled with your presence, O God.  And we live out your breath, heartbeat and vision, here, on earth. AMEN

Dear God,    Help us to trust in the slow process of unfolding growth; in the rhythm of seeds breaking through the soil, the  breath and pulse of our bodies, the emotions and motions of our mind and spirit.  May we be attentive to a faith that expands and embraces the hands of compassion and the name of Jesus. May we transform and be birthed in the channel of your loving grace. AMEN

Dear God,     May our tremblings be soothed and our nerves smoothed.  May our anxieties be turned from broken glass to silken fiber. In the place of sneers, jeers, and fears may we place your rainbow, your helping hand and your voice of compassion.  Help us to lift up our head in the joy of the morning and walk the day in new energy and joy. AMEN

Lord God,    This journey we are on is filled with hazards of which we have little or no control.  This journey we are on is also filled with blessings.  We pray for the strength and faith to meet both with dignity and integrity.  We treasure this life and pray we might fulfill our soul's purpose from birth to death.  In those final moments of passing might we turn our inward eye to you, God, see your face and feel our heart burn with love. AMEN

Dear God,    Sometimes the complexities of life fill our visual field in layers.  What is real and what is a reflection, we wonder? How do we make sense of our world and live fully with health and wholeness? We stare deeply into the beauty and see you, O God, staring  back at us. We make sense of our world through your eyes. Truth is found in your presence and in your love.  You balance us, giving us harmony and rhythm. We see in you, the best of ourselves. AMEN

Dear God,   We stand on the mountaintop of our heart's desire and raise our arms and face to you.  Hear our prayer, O God.  In your infinite compassion may you smile on our needs and fill us full of joy. Hear our prayers, O God.  We pray for those who can't pray for themselves; may they be filled with your mercy and may your loving kindness wash through their souls.  Hear our prayers, O God; we breathe the breath of holiness and bow our heads in your presence. AMEN

Dear God,     May we in your presence be balanced.  May the cycles and rhythms of our life be in harmony with the natural forces of the universe.  May we flow like spring sap and be solid like fertile earth. May we know the wonder of bright sun and sapphire, scented rain. May we grow in wisdom, laugh in joy and walk in beauty. May your love nurture us and your grace surround us. May springs of living water gush from us and nourish the earth. AMEN

Dear God,    The brush of angels wings have touched the earth with glory. The spring flowers slipping between dark leaves announce the dawning of spring.  Birds, carelessly fling songs into the air, lighting up the sky and creating melodies heard in distant galaxies. Deep life impulses stir inside of us bringing creative urges surging to the surface of our mind and  we too, like the flowers and birds are born again. The wondrous forces of life are clamoring for recognition, and you, our God, mysteriously flow in all the cracks. AMEN

Dear God,    Be with those, we pray, who are sick and ill.   In that valley of darkness might they know the prayers of light that surround them, showing them the way to health and wellness.  May the Holy Spirit, set down a pathway that pushes away the darkness and gives hope.  Might you fill the horizon with the vision of a sacred place and give a glimpse of eternity and peace. Be with us, O Lord, so we might feel no fear. AMEN

Dear God,    In quiet beauty may we be. Through chaos and storm may we find that still spot, a space of gentle repose in which we sit. Midst confusion and disturbances of mind and heart, may we find the melody that soothes the soul in serene rhythms of peace.  In reflection, mediation and prayer may we move and breathe. May our spirit be happy. AMEN

Dear God,    Sometimes we long to have awesome power and reach out a long arm, and with piercing vision heal the sick, feed the hungry, bring peace into war torn nations and tend the broken-hearted. Sometimes we wish we could say the power word and it would be done. But we realize that we are not powerful but we are, instead, people of faith.  Our faith and our commitment to justice, righteousness and compassion bring us into prayer and activity. Help us, O God, to do what we can, each in our own way to bring love and grace into our world. AMEN

Dear God,     Help us to keep going in spite of aches, pains, twists and turns.  Help us to keep thinking when memory fails, thoughts are dim, reflections are slow and the mind grinds to a halt. Help us to keep caring in spite of ourselves and our own needs. In the meadow of our  being, may we  be a reflecting pond of awareness and wisdom, offering nurture and nourishment to our world. AMEN

Lord Almighty,    The mysterious sounds of the universe fill our mind, resonating and echoing through those infinite chambers.  The slow pulse of your compassion beats like a pulsing star and the dark matter of your love flows like liquid fire into our pores.  Our mind expands into other universes and you are there, twinkling in the harmony of galaxies and we grasp onto the melody of your grace; we are overcome in glory, praise and gratitude. There is no end to you, O God. AMEN

Dear God,     Help us to deal with the ghosts of the past, those gray waifs that slip and sl ide through the streets of our mind.  May your purifying wind cleanse  and your  fresh light wash away the lingering taste and smell of these ghosts. You desire us to be healed and we believe that in your Holy presence we are renewed. AMEN

Dear God,     The winds of the day have blown the minutes away like leaves scattering before the storm. We try to catch them but they disappear into the clouds and rivers of time. In the chaos and storms may we stay balanced and centered in your spirit of holiness and not be blown away, ourselves.   Help us to soar on  the winds with you as our wings. May we float and spiral in faith. AMEN

Dear God,    Open us to the eastern sun of your light and warmth.  Bring us into the presence of your southern breezes bringing new life. Cleans us with the fluid winds of the western mountains and plains.  Empower us in the north winds of your spinning spirit.  In your Holy Spirit might we be lifted up and born into the freshness of a new day  dawning. AMEN

Dear God,    Help us to pause in patience and in prayer. Let not frustration, stress or anxiety creep into our minds like a grey fog and blur our senses and warp our perceptions. May we be still and breathe deeply of your spirit and exhale the fog away and allow sunlight to saturate our cells.   May we, then, quietly and patiently meet the day in grace and peace. AMEN

Dear God,    We are the sheep of your loving grace.  We have no fear or anxiety for we trust in you. You take care of us, provide us with food, water and shelter. You keep us safe from harm. We live under your care and nurture and feel your love and tenderness. We are your sheep, you know our names and you understand our needs and ways. Thank you God for caring for us. We relax into your loving arms. AMEN

Dear God,    The ancient star filled sky fills our minds, expanding our thoughts to eternity. The light of day expands our vision and like you, God, we see no limits and horizons to our life. In this morning of our life we pray to be awake, aware and alert.  May the winds of creation's becoming be the continued growth of our being. AMEN

Gracious God,     Thank you for this day. Really, truly, we are grateful.  We don't yet know in what direction it will go, but we do know it will be a lesson unfolding.  We know it will present with opportunities for growth and new understanding. We do hope for joy and wonder, but we are prepared for tears. We choose to live our life in prayer and faith, raising our potential to the highest level possible so we can be ready. Thank you for this day. AMEN

Dear God,     May we walk in  beauty of heart this day as people of your breath and love. May we feel the wind of the spirit blow through us, filling us with new life. May our minds be cleansed in your peace as you heal our wounds and purify our souls. Saturated in your grace may we have vision that is balanced and harmonious. In the Cosmic Christ, let us live. AMEN

Dear God,      Today is Ash Wednesday.  May we be reflective and prayerful this day as we begin our Lenten journey.  May we examine our  beliefs and thoughts, entering into a spiritual space of holiness as we reflect upon who we are and how we want to live. With your help, O God, may we commit ourselves to an experience of the heart and mind and in stillness -- know God. AMEN

Dear God,    Most of us aren't famous except on our own patio and local church pew.  We don't acclaim to fame or stardom and probably won't leave a lasting monument or have a road named after us.  But maybe our impact is like daily nourishment for those around us. Maybe we help keep life going and keep it alive and safe and genuine on our patio. We ask that you, our God, help us to be the living water of your grace that nourishes and nurtures. AMEN

Good Morning Jesus,     Would it be possible to walk with you along the quiet Galilean Sea shore and be still and quiet in your presence.  Perhaps, we could sit in the tall grasses and watch the boats sail and the clouds flow. We could lie on our backs and feel the warm sun and smell the fresh earth. The breezes would gently blow and then we could talk softly.  Your words would be like music and we could feast on their meaning and be nourished and nurtured. Let it be so. AMEN

Dear God,    May the light of morning fill our hearts with warmth and hope.  May the dawning of the day saturate our souls with joy. But mostly, may you be with us and hold us in the palm of your hand. May we be safe, secure and know we are loved by you, our God.  May the way of life be clear and pure in your presence and in your embrace. AMEN
