MorningPrayer

Dear Lord,      The world stretches before us in pastures of green and mountains of blue horizon. Surely, you have said to us that infinity is ours for the asking and eternity for the meek. In this kingdom, we make our stand and lay down our life, for truly, you have shown us the way. For yes, when we look toward our distant self in the light years abroad, we seek truth and wisdom and the integrity of the stars. AMEN

Dear God,      This serene day has slithered sleepily away in silent splendor.  In peaceful, purpose we have prayerfully prepared ourselves for the plentitude of blessings and possibilities. This is the day you have made, O God, and we rejoice in it. Your love has graced us and in love we grace one another. In Jesus we rejoice. AMEN

Holy Lord,     Help us to return to values of your elegance and compassion.  Pull us from the mud of baseness and pettiness and ideological strife and into the crisp clear air of gentle grace and harmony.  Save us from ourselves where anger, fear  and power are seen as proof of intelligence and wisdom.  Lift us up to the mountain of transformation where we can stand in unity with one another and live in the saving, healing arena of  beauty and goodness. In Jesus name may we be made whole. AMEN

Dear God,      A choir of birds awakened the morning draping their song across soggy skies and harmonizing with dogs, roosters and traffic.  Is there miracle and mystery in this beginning, the start of new opportunities? Is there room for our voice to join the chorus and our potential to hit high E?  Prayerfully with solemn dedication to the song of life, we open our mouths and speak the song of creation and find new birth. Alive in the garden. AMEN

Dear God,     How amazing it is for those of us who have choices; who have to decide what to have for breakfast from a number of options.  Who have to decide what clothes to wear and what to do today.  We are fortunate, blessed, lucky, or maybe we worked hard to get to where we are. But still, we are thankful.We pause in this morning of this day for awareness and gratitude... and praise. AMEN

Dear God,    For those who are ill, sick, diseased and in medical need we lift our hearts and minds in prayer.  May the medical community employ the highest and best of training, understanding and wisdom to treat us and offer us wholeness and wellness.  We give  thanks for the science that has brought us new life and health.  We are grateful for this age in which we live, that offers so many health advantages. And to you, God, the master healer of us all, we bow our heads in prayer. AMEN

Dear God,       Seekers of wisdom let us be; open to the vibrations of your love and the rhythms of your creative grace. Fill our minds with the Holy Spirit of continuing knowledge and our hearts with the mystery of love eternally recreated. Fly us into the new birth of life's unfolding, the spiral galaxy of supernovas unborn and stars reborn. Jesus, step forth. AMEN

Dear God, There is a whisper in the air this morning.  The flitting of the angels and the hush of the spirits; be still, know God, know God, be still. Let us join the silence and be part of the infinite compassion, the serenity and creativity of new life. AMEN

Dear God, In the very hollow of your hand lie the galactic waters, the remnants of supernovas and the essence of life.  Our birth lies reflected there in the silence of the song, and the thunder of memories.  If there be any justice, O God, let us be part of the holy sacrifice that rented life. Amen

Dear God,      What meaning embraces us this morning?  What satisfies the longing of our soul? Is it tasks undone that we strive to complete.  Perhaps, it is the issues of justice that stir our passions or the love of another. Maybe it is our conviction that you, our God, love us and long in your weeping for us to be whole. Or is it, the beauty and harmony of our world and the Spirit that flows around us that lifts our hearts. Or maybe it is everything that we are and might be and the community of love around us and the very fact that we exist at all.  What mystery and magic is there in existence, after all. We thirst. AMEN

Dear God,       The morning awakens softly in the smell of coffee and the twitching of the cats ears.  Bird calls splatter like sundrops on the earth and grow into flowers and clumps of grass.  The air is suddenly blurred in the mystery of a hummingbird, the  air blows gently against our face; is that you God, your Spirit coming?  We are still, acknowledging your presence and your love that lovingly holds us, imparting wisdom and saturating us in grace. There is still hope. AMEN

Dear God,     Rain softly falls on the good earth.  In its goodness and goldilocks aura, the sun contributes its blessings and we reap the benefits with a little sweat and prayer.  How wonderful it is to be alive in the  bounty of creation and reap the harvest of wonder and mystery. We stop in the grace of growth and smile in the goodness of the blessing. AMEN

Dear God,      In the gentleness of a Jesus of deep faith, we pray for a sublime, serene peace.  We pray for people of all kinds, types, beliefs and ways to work towards greater understanding and acceptance.  Surely this is your intention for us, or at the very least should be our intention for and with one another. In the stillness of inner healing, we pray. AMEN

Dear God,      Please bring us to a small place where stones are solid and flowers are wisdom. Place us gently in the garden  and roll away obstacles to our birth and provide us with the aroma of new being.  In your palm of healing grow us into the eternity of grace  and smile on us the infinity of love.  It is good to be still in your presence, O Lord, AMEN

Dear God,      This day tastes like an oyster split from the shell and dreaming of paradise.  It looks like a pearl, cast to the heavens and shining like a thousand suns.  It feels like a rainbow ride, sliding into the pot of eternity and smelling like gold.  Thank you for this day of wonders and mystery. May we melt in the magic and be alive in your presence. AMEN

Dear God,      Sometimes we wonder what is true religion and legitimate faith.  So much of it seems to be "manmade", and not true "Godspeak". If it were all of God, then we wouldn't have so many differences of opinions, would we? Help us to get down to basics, to the ground of being to the foundations of truth and wisdom that define God in our life and world. Strip away our misconceptions and falsehoods and place us in your living, loving grace. AMEN

  Come, God says,        Smile into the pond of memory and watch the ripples expand to the edge of imagination.  Cast a thought into the melting pot and see the future form in the dance of light and form. See the sunlight mingle in the features of your presence and blend into the face of humanity. Nurtured in the nature of the eternal womb, you have come to be my delight. In the infinity of now, let us be. AMEN

Dear God,      Morning has broken open and here we are, immersed in mist and sun, opportunity and potential.  In this morning of praise and thanks, hold us as vessels of promise and vehicles of new hope. May our anthem of glory saturate the darkest hearts and open our minds to a new melody alive with the harmony of diversity and the mystery of the unexplored. In the brilliance of the Cosmic Christ may we sing the God song. AMEN
