MorningPrayer Wednesday

God of Heavens,
  As we look into the depths of the night sky seeing billions of years ago, may we also peer deeply into our minds discovering distant energized thoughts and clusters of unexplored meditations on wisdom and life. May we clear away the dark matter and the dust of exploded fears and sins and see clearly the brilliance of humanity flowing in the mind of God. May we hear the  sound of God's heartbeat and feel the breath of exhalation and know the connection of our spirits. And then, in reverence might we bow in the dust of earth and inhale the holiness of sacred ground and smile. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
