MorningPrayer Saturday

Dear God,
    Allow me, sometime today to drift into the silence of knowing myself and being with you.  Instead of moving and blowing in the wind, may I be still as  a blooming flower in the morning hush.  Quiet our souls, O God. From stress and anxiety relieve us in the serenity of your infinite love.  Alive in the wisdom of knowing in the power of the Holy Spirit may we quietly centered be in your grace. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi

Dear God, The morning mist consumes much of the world in its shroud of unknowing. But revealed is the rock on which I stand and the raft of safety if I venture forth. You, O God, are the rock and the raft, for wherever I go, you are there. For your love and grace is always with us all. AMEN
