MorningPrayer Monday

Dear God.
     It has been awhile since I last wrote you, forgive me, I guess the Spirit was quiet in my heart. I  know that sometimes happens and I was not concerned but I was patiently waiting.  It is good to be back in sync.  I am looking forward to the day with you by my side and in my heart. I will listen carefully to your whisper and walk with you in joy. Praise God. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
