MorningPrayer Wednesday

Dear God,
    The winds of the day have blown the minutes away like leaves scattering before the storm. We try to catch them but they disappear into the clouds and rivers of time. In the chaos and storms may we stay balanced and centered in your spirit of holiness and not be blown away, ourselves. Help us to soar on  the winds with you as our wings. May we float and spiral in faith. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
