Dear God,
     A simple thank you for this day that dawns with sunlight blazing across the sky and the trees alive in the morning glow.  A thank you for the people of our heart that share the light of our blood and the code of our souls.  In their very being we take joy and share hope for the future. A thank you for the friends of our spirit, alive in the beauty and vibrations of our existence and the harmony of possibilities. A thank you for you, our God and Jesus, the Christ who shows us the way of grace. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
