MorningPrayer Tuesday

Dear God,
  Help us to be at our very best today; kind, caring, patient, cheerful.  Help us to reach deeply into our own souls and release the burning embers of creation, the grace that washes the world in unseen energy and power.  Help us to be peaceful and calm, a sea of inner serenity  in the midst of whatever chaos the world hurls at us. Hold us in the eyes of the angels, a gaze of infinite grace and joy. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
