MorningPrayer Tuesday

Dear God,
     Give us the patience to deal with those things we don't comprehend.  Give us new teachings to bolster our lack of knowledge. Give us the wisdom to put our knowledge to good use. Give us the understanding to accept those things beyond our comprehension. Give us love to fill the gaps in who we are and what we might become.  Give us forgiveness that heals our wounds when we fail. Allow us the grace of your being to live in your Kingdom for eternity. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
