MorningPrayer Saturday

Dear God,
     The rhythm and the cycle of life is constant, moving us ever forward in loops and spirals, twists and turns.  Moon and sun exchange places in a timely measure.  The seasons bring cold and warm and the wind and snow, exchange places with the sun and rain.  In the flow of hibernation and growth we find our wings or huddle in our cocoon.  May we do so in gentle thanks for the life we have been given.  May we make the most of what we have and are. May we live in the blessings of love and grace. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
