Dear God,
    The mirror of our life is sometimes confusing. We live in the reflections of sea and sky, thought and deed, past and present, future and dreams.  There is much beauty in the image  but the swirling currents twist the meaning of our life in rhythms, unexpected and unanticipated. We search for clarity. As we enter a new year we pray for peace in the mirror and clear focus of meaning.  May the waters be stirred in wellness and serenity. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
