Creator God,
     How long has humanity been around, thinking, creating growing doing, being? Have we gotten any wiser over the centuries?  Are we more kind and compassionate toward one another?  Have we found better ways to relate to one another and prosper in each others' company? The frustration is that we must relearn, every generation, or so it seems, the acts of humanity that are of kindness and peace. We pray that you will give us a spiritual renewal and a leap forward in wisdom, so that we will find a better way to be human and live with one another. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
