MorningPrayer Tuesday

Dear God,
     In the changing, twisting, twirling, turning events of life, is anything different or is it all the same. Keep, O God, our head from spinning so we don't fall down as we bounce on the trampoline of old and new.  Help us to stay balanced and in harmony. Help us to walk the path in beauty, trusting that our inner spirit is being guided by your Holy Spirit. Our hearts are beating, our breath is singing. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
