MorningPrayer Tuesday

Dear God,
    What gift can we bring to you and our loved ones?  What gifts mean the most of who we are and what we believe? If we have neither gold, frankincense or myrrh.  If we  have neither nobility nor power.  If we have neither creativity nor vivid imagination.  What gifts can we bring?  May we bring love and ourselves as simple as we are.  May we bring  visions and dreams of peace and joy gift wrapped  with hope.  May we bring peace in our heart and peace for the world.  May we bring faith and prayers of life lived in grace.  Are these suitable gifts for you and our loved ones? AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
