MorningPrayer Thursday

Dear God,
   May the words of our mouth be gentle and melodious, filled with angels humming and east wind blowing. May our words be caring and considerate, kind and soft, free of jagged edges and harsh ledges. May the words that leap from our heart offer healing and wellness and a spirit of wholeness so that we might in understanding, comfort and compassion linger in the sounds of each others spirits. In the loving and graceful sounds of Jesus voice, we pray. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
