MorningPrayer Tuesday

Dear God,
  May we see this day as an opportunity to learn and grow.  Help us to enjoy and appreciate the music, dance, laughter and fun of companionship and exploration. Help us to float through the pain, sorrows and stress that might come our way.  Assist us in being the very best person of light and grace that we can be.  May we be disciplined and deliberate, creative and spontaneous as we learn and understand the lessons of life. May we be whole and well. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
