MorningPrayer Thursday

Dear God,
  In the morning light we see again the patterns and colors of the world. 
  Lord, our Lord, how abundant is the majesty, variety and texture of the universe.  
  We give you thanks and praise for the sights and wonders ;that greet our eyes.
  May we have the vision that sees beyond the contours of form and color into the beauty
      of your touch and your love.
  May we know clearly the grace that flows and the hope that exists as we lift our hearts up in prayer.
  In our Loving God we pray. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
