MorningPrayer Sunday

Dear God,
   Our Fellowship of Faith meets today and we ask for you blessing and guidance. Even though we might be only 100 that meet in our sanctuary we believe we are thousands; our thoughts and prayers reaching out like webs of the Spirit and intertwining with the thoughts and prayers of people around the world. Under your vision and in your heartbeat of mercy we can blanket the globe in love and positive energy; offering hope, peace and faith to all. In the far-reaching vision of the Cosmic Christ we off ourselves as living servant of you, our God. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
