MorningPrayer Wednesday

Dear God,
   With gratitude for this day, we pause and give thanks.  For the routine that helps us to stay on the path, we are grateful.  For the unexpected events  that surprise and even amaze we are also grateful.  May we be creative in our response and faithful in our actions. God, you have taught us what we must do to be loving in the Kingdom. May we continue to grow in your spirit and in your health and be made complete and whole in your grace. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
