MorningPrayer Tuesday

Wow God,
   The days and nights have been clear, a burning bright sun melting the blue sky and thousands of light dots floating in the black sky.  Have we  paused? Have we seen? Have we been overwhelmed in awe? Let us take the time to gaze and leap from the earth and soar in the wowness of the heavens. May the clarity of light illuminate our mind and fill us full of grace. Truly, truly, truly, what do we pay attention to, and why? AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
