MorningPrayer Tuesday

Dear God,
   Help us to organize the pantry of our minds.  May we discard those old jars from years ago that we will never use, they are getting in the way, using up shelf space, and a constant bother. Help us to organize the clutter and put the beans here, the sauces there, the soups here and the pasta there.  Help us to clean out the emotions, the thoughts, the failures, the sins and the ego from our pantry.  We need some fresh fruit and maybe some horseradish and dill pickles. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
