MorningPrayer Wednesday

Dear God, 
  Is it just me, God, or is life getting increasing complicated? We remember the days when a TV had maybe three stations and the phone had a cord. Mail came in an envelope and text was connected with textbook. Perhaps, it is the vibrations of the world, anxiety, stress and frenzy. We strive for greater wholeness and health and ask that you help us. May we reside quietly in the serene spirit of your grace, reflective and contemplative of real values of love, mercy, kindness and simplicity. Might we join in the slow walk of Jesus throughout the Kingdom. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
