Dear God,
    Changes. There are changes all around us and even to us:  we are surprised by our image in the mirror, new born babies now crawl and talk,  living situations of loved ones change, the climate is hot then cold, foods are good then bad... there is no end to the changes.  And we need to be adaptable, flexible, and changeable as well as constantly learning new terms and techniques of technology.  What, O God, is not changeable? You are our rock and our salvation. You, God, are unchangeable in our lives of faith and  love. To you, we look as our constant in life. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
