Dear God,
If we were the followers of Jesus, 2000 years ago, we would see the tomb as a closed form; lifeless, dead, no hope and no promise.  But today,we see the tomb as the possibility of new life, of nourishment, of hope for a future and people who longs for sustenance, revival and love. We are those who rejoice in this gift of life and renewal. We accept the promise and the opportunity for forgiveness in the name and life and death and life of Jesus. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
