MorningPrayer Tuesday



Dear Lord God,

The light of the sun, slowly illuminates the valley in the distance.
A rooster crows across the meadow.
A Robin flits over the ground.
I smell the coffee brewing.
It is a normal morning, but there is no telling what the day will bring.
Will it bring joy or sorrow, hardship or serenity?
Will it bring challenges or complacency?
We don't ever fully know...
But we can hold ourselves steady in your embrace.
We can walk on water with your support.
We can be prayerful and filled with your life's blood.
We can. We can.

AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
