MorningPrayer Thursday

Dear God,
   Life changes in us as fast as the weather changes around us.  The temperature goes down and we throw on sweaters and coasts and goes up and we cast them aside. Our wellness factor is grand and we smile and dance and then we feel blue and we groan and grump. Ahh, God. Help us in the control of our emotional and physical  fluctuations. Life is truly like a roller coaster, be our life belt in the seat and the rails upon which we ride. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
