MorningPrayer Tuesday

Dear God,
    May we walk in the beauty of a guilt-free conscience, forgiven and redeemed. We confess that we have sinned individually and collectively.  The human race is fallen and we have tumbled also. Only you can bring us into wellness and wholeness.  You have shown the way in Jesus who has walked in perfection and harmony, one in the Spirit and one is love. Let us also be free of our burdens to walk in unity of the Spirit and joy and peace in our hearts. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
