MorningPrayer Wednesday

Dear God,
     Can you see our face?  Our faces when we are afraid or concerned.  Our faces when we are angry or unhappy.  Our faces when we laugh and have joy.  Our faces as we meditate or pray in serenity.
Can you enter into our heart and soul, our mind and spirit and soothe and participate in our longings and our wholeness? Dear God, are you with us in the daily emotions and events of our daily life?  May we pause in our doing and being and recognize you as part of us, as the ground of our being and the sky in which we soar. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
