MorningPrayer Sunday


Dear God,
Day by day, we experience life  as Body, Mind and Spirit.
May we be alive in our senses
as we feel the textures of living creatures,  
know the wind in our hair,
 smell the aroma of nature, 
taste the sea salt 
and see the arc of the sun.
May we be alive in our Mind of realization, knowledge and expectation.
May we know the brush of angel wings and soar in our spirit
 as your Spirit enters into us and carries us into realms of hope, forgiveness, beauty and truth. 
May we be one with you, God.
AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
