Dear God,
     Some people say that life is mainly attitude... but how do you have the right attitude;  the attitude that works best and makes for happiness and meaning? You see, Lord, no offense, but it is easier said than done.  And sometimes, even with the right attitude, life still comes crashing down around you.  Have you noticed that, God?  We remember that St. Paul said, "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances."  I guess we will keep doing these three things until we believe it. Help us to float in faith... Thank you, God. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
