MorningPrayer Tuesday

Dear God,
    In the daily living of our lives and in the flowing of our hopes and dreams; may we be humble in our successes and learn from our failures.   Help us to understand that there is no tragedy in our lives that is bigger than your vision and will for us. May our spirit be vibrant and our soul be strong in the unfolding of this drama. Infused with your love and living in your grace, may we be peaceful in the midst of the unknown.  AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
