MorningPrayer Thursday

Dear God,
     Can we catch a rainbow, the vision of light dancing through the air in energy, color and imagination.  Can we ride that power on the way to the sun or to another dimension in time and space. In the fleeting mystery and wonder of that bow in the sky can we live in beauty and harmony.  Can we float like light, ourselves, moving gracefully through time and adding hope to all we meet.  Let us, then, be part of a reality of love that embraces heaven and earth in eternal light. AMEN

Good morning God,      Today is a sad troubling day for many of us. It is difficult to understand the choice of President that was made.   For the past year we have heard Trump express sentiments that are against everything we value and hold as moral in human relations. That he has been supported in his rhetoric is an indictment of our culture and people.   Do we really believe this, or were we pulled into political ranting and raving. It has been divisive, racist, sexist, mean-spirited and certainly not Christian in its focus and content. It is not the values that Jesus expressed or that the Bible shares of love, forgiveness, compassion and tolerance. I am dismayed and pessimistic about this choice.       It remains to be seen whether he truly means what he has said and will pull our country further down this path.   With your help, God, we ask the Holy Spirit to give us a large dose of wisdom, clarity and kindness.  We need to elevate our values of goodness, acceptance, understandi
